OSLO

Oslo is a charming Scandinavian city with fjords among its many attractions. It is the Norwegian capital and is renowned for being one of the most beautiful cities in the north of Europe, with ski jumps on its hills, museums, shops and other places of cultural interest. It is surrounded by hills and mountains and there are 40 islands within the city limits, plus 343 lakes. There are many parks and gardens in the metropolitan area, giving the city a very green and pleasant feel.
Among the main architectural attractions in the city are the Akerhus medieval castle and the Fort in front of Oslo port. Other famous buildings are the Cathedral and the Royal Palace, which is the home of the King of Norway. This is a city full of majestic locations that shouldn’t be missed.

Three nearby airports service the city: Oslo-Gardermoen Airport, 50 km away in Akershus county, Sandefjord Airport, 110 km away in Vestfold county, and the Oslo-Rygge Airport, 66 km from the city center. Visitors can also arrive by ferry from Germany and Denmark and by train from different parts of Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
